Who are the tutors?

All tutoring is done by myself.

Am I a qualified teacher?

I am not a qualified teacher but I have experience in tutoring (both independently and through a tutoring company).

I achieved top grades in English as an academic subject in both my GCSE's & A-level exams (2018 and 2020 respectively). I then went on to complete a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (2020-2023) and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree (2023-2025) from a top world University.

I am also DBS checked (criminal records checked).

Cost and payment

The cost of tutoring lessons vary depending on the age of the student and if any lesson packages are bought. Please see the "lesson packages" page.

If you would like a custom amount of lessons, please feel free to contact me!

Payment is taken at time of online booking.

Can I teach students with learning difficulties?

Yes. I have worked with numerous students with learning difficulties. In the consultation, we can discuss any concerns that you may have or any extra requirements.

At what level do I teach?

I have experience in teaching students between the ages of 7 - 18.

However, I am also happy teaching younger students, University students, or adults learning English as a second language.

What can I teach?

I can help you with all things related to English language and English literature. This includes English as an academic subject and helping you prepare for your examinations (poetry analysis, creative writing, essay writing, coursework etc), or lessons to simply improve your confidence.

I may ask you to send me any materials/book lists in advance so I can best prepare for you.

How do I teach?

I teach depending on the individual needs of each student, their goals and their level of learning. Across all levels, I create a fun and comfortable learning environment and I encourage all students to engage and speak in the lessons. I create most of my own teaching materials, but I also use online materials from exam boards to familiarise the student on what an "official" exam will look like.

I keep a detailed record of the progress of each student after each lesson, which I would be happy to share with you.

All lessons will take place over Zoom, for a 1 hour lesson.

I have paid for a lesson/lessons, what happens next?

Once you have paid for a lesson, I will contact you within 24 hours via email to organise when you would like to schedule the session/sessions.

Within 24 hours of the scheduled session, I will email you with the code to join the Zoom call.

What time zone do I teach in?

GMT+1

Cancellations and missed lessons

If the student cancels a lesson with 24 hours notice, we can reschedule another lesson free of charge.

If the student does not turn up to the lesson they will still be charged in full.
